About Us

TriLine Index Solutions, an affiliate of BP Capital Fund Advisors (BPCFA), an SEC-registered investment advisor, designs passive index strategies for exchange traded products and institutional accounts and serves as the Advisor to the Pickens Morningstar® Renewable EnergyTM Response ETF (Ticker: RENW).

BPCFA is an SEC-registered RIA, led by a 9-person Texas-based team with decades of combined energy investing experience. BPCFA seeks to build portfolios that preserve capital throughout the energy cycle while providing investors with exposure to the unique technologically-driven growth taking place in the United States oil and gas mutual funds industry.

The design of RENW is informed by decades of experience and energy thought leadership of the late T. Boone Pickens and his team. Renowned as a geologist, businessman, and shareholder activist, Pickens publicly advocated for the expansion of U.S. energy resources through the Pickens Plan, a nationally-recognized movement to reduce America’s dependence on OPEC oil. RENW invests in renewable energy in a contemporary approach that includes companies along the entire renewable energy value chain – renewable energy producers, green transportation and users of renewable energy. The team believes that a global focus on renewable and clean energy will create transformative growth in this sector.

Pickens Morningstar® Renewable EnergyTM Response ETF (Ticker: RENW) seeks to track the performance before fees and expenses of the Morningstar® North America Renewable EnergyTM Index (Ticker: MSNAREPU), an index co-developed by Morningstar and TriLine Index Solutions. RENW aims to provide exposure to companies in North America that are leaders in the transition to a low-carbon economy. The ETF includes companies involved in renewable energy or green transportation as well as companies who are significant users of clean energy sources. The index is made up of two groups called “sleeves”. The first and larger sleeve consists of companies in the renewable energy or green transportation business and represents 75% of overall index weight. The second sleeve represents 25% of index weight and consists of companies that meet at least 25% of their primary energy requirement from renewables. Index constituents are equally weighted within their respective sleeve, with sector weights capped at 20% in sleeve two. The analysis is powered by Sustainalytics data, a global leader in environmental, social and governance (ESG) research and ratings.

Principal Investment Risks: You can lose money on your investment in the Fund. The Fund’s investments will be concentrated in an industry or group of industries and the value of Shares may rise and fall more than the value of shares that invest in securities of companies in a broader range of industries. The equity securities, including those of mid-capitalization companies, held in the Fund’s portfolio may experience sudden, unpredictable drops in value or long periods of decline in value.  Foreign securities may be subject to certain risks such as loss due to foreign currency or political or eoncomic instablity or taxes.

The Fund is non-diversified, which means that it may invest more of its assets in the securities of a single issuer or a smaller number of issuers. The Fund is not actively managed, and the Fund’s sub-adviser would only sell shares of an equity security if that security is removed from the Index or the removal of that security is otherwise required upon a reconstitution of the Index in accordance with the Index methodology.

ETF shares are bought and sold through exchange trading at market price (not NAV), and are not individually redeemed from the Fund. Shares may trade at a premium or discount to their NAV in the secondary market. Brokerage commissions will reduce returns.

For more information about the risks of investing in the Fund, see the section in the Fund’s Prospectus titled “Principal Investment Risks."
